After a busy period and a hiatus from blog posting I return with
a competely non-SharePoint related post.
If you live in New Zealand and you're looking for a way to keep
tabs on surf and snow conditions you need to install these Vista
sidebar gadgets that we have made. You can download
them here.
We also made google desktop versions (shh) for people that
haven't stopped whinging about upgrading to Vista yet. On a side
note the development experience for creating google gadgets is
horrible - no really, I'd rather jump off a cliff than develop
another google gadget. I do however quite enjoy the Vista sidebar
dev experience, largely because you can capitalise on existing
knowledge of web development. Its also rather pleasant to write
javascript and HTML for only one browser as the Vista gadget uses
IE 7 as it's rendering engine.
